Jamar Younger is a Philadelphia native who’s lived in Arizona since 2000. He started his career in 2006 as a reporter with the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson, where he won awards for his contributions to two of the newspaper’s award-winning investigative projects. He transitioned to public relations in 2014 but has still worked as a freelance writer for a number of publications. His work has appeared in The Arizona Republic, PHOENIX Magazine, and Arizona Foothills Magazine. Jamar is also a past president of the Arizona Association of Black Journalists.
