Jayati Vora was born and raised in Mumbai. She has been a journalist since 2003, writing for a men’s monthly feature magazine and editing the theater section of TimeOut Mumbai. Since moving to New York in 2005 she has worked at The Nation Institute, Al Jazeera America, and Type Investigations. She has edited stories that went on to win major awards, including a Sidney and an Emmy.
